One of our females [Pewter] who we have been thinking is a lilac may not be.
She has molted and the result is a very distict and different pattern then
we have seen in any picture thus far. She has developed a much lighter fur
around her eyes and has a white chin and narrow white stripe down the
underside of her neck. Her front paws may also be white but it is a bit
difficult to tell, and her tail is certainly much lighter than the rest of
her. We do have another lilac that we have used to compare. The darker fur
on her back and head comes to a point down her nose giving her a badger like
appearance. She is the mate of an argenti cream [Copper] and has had
consistantly small litters [usually 4]. She is, in fact, the mom of our
little only pup Dibbon.

Any ideas??? further questions??? What could her genetics be? Her pups, so
far have been either argenti cream, or ??? [lilac in color anyway] in a 50 -
50 ratio.

By the way Dibbon is finally getting some fur on her back. The base of her
tail is still bald though.
