Prayers please, for Honeymouse aged 2 & 3/4. He's booked in to have a scent
gland tumour removed on early Tuesday morning. He won't leave the thing
alone. Baytril and cortisone haven't induced him to leave the wound he's made
to heal, so it's last resort time. My vet has operated successfully to remove
a tumour from a gerbil his age before, so she won't put him to sleep without
trying all the options, since he is otherwise large and somewhat robust:)
(She used the word fat, actually, but in the most favourable sense!) I hope
so. Reardon and his brother Recznik were my first gerbs, and though I have
lost a gerb before, I'm dreading the loss of these guys. So, fingers crossed,
please, if you've a finger or two to spare.

Another sleepless night beckons, in the service of two very Nice-Male-Mice
Cal.
