Hey Esther,
I've had the same problem with my two, they have gone through three
water bottles in two months! Presently we are on number 4 - so far they
haven't touched it, they have been to engrossed making tunnels. What I
found helped was to give them lots of extra bits and pieces to gnaw on, that
way they are kept busy and a lot less likely to chew there water bottle.

Hey,
Two of my female gerbils have become very restless lately! I give them
plenty of attention, but in the last week they've gone through TWO water
bottles!! What to do? The first one was a 8oz bottle hanging from the
tank w/ a metal guard, (they preceded to jump up onto it and chew the
top off) and the other was a 5 or 6 oz Quick Quench. Any suggestions?
