Sand Bath

I bet you've all noticed that now that I have accessibility to this e-mailing list, I have been asking a lot of question :) I hope that doesn't annoy anyone... Anyways, my question in this e-mail is regarding letting my gerbils bathe in sand...I wanted to experiment with this a little bit but before I do I wanted to know what sand I should use?...does it have to be fine grade or can it be fairly corse(spelling)?   Thanks again, Jason
