I just went to feed Rascal and Pookie and saw something horrible -
Pookie's right front paw is swollen to about 5 times it's normal size!
There is what looks like it might be a wound on one side but I have no
idea how it happened. I can't reach the vet tonight so we are going
first thing in the morning. Any ideas what could have caused this??

Maybe he pulled a nail and it got infected.[abscess?] It could have
happened when he tried to jump on the wheel while it was spinning. Is
the wound on the side they usually run towards?
Another possibility is, he injured it, on his water bottle holder or
cage furniture? What is in his tank?
