....just about any medication can be passed along to the baby via milk....that's why many prescriptions/OTC medicines for humans say if you are pregnate or nursing you should consult a Dr. first before using this product.... With your baby gerbil the question comes in the fact that it's harder to administer the correct dose to the baby if you do it through the mother....and it may not be good for the other babies in the same litter...although you could probably argue that one...just something to think about anyway, although doing it via the mother is probably your best option if it's that young......do you have access to a Vet you could talk to? That would be my best reccommendation..... good luck... -80 ----Original Message Follows---- From: Jeff Fidler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: Jeff Fidler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: antibiotics Date: Tue, 25 Apr 2000 20:39:40 +0100 One of my three week old pups has a chest infection. I've got some antibiotics to put in the water, but the pup isn't drinking water yet. If I put it in the mother's water will the antbiotics be passed on in her milk, or do I need to find a way to make the pup drink it?
