Did she say who the parents were? I know she did have a pair that was
capable of producing CP slates with a high chance of carrying "e". Can't
say I remember her having such a pair that would produce slate, but my
memory fails me ;) It's possible she was mistaken, especially if you got
her from her young as the young CP slates look especially dark.
