Wow I got thrown off the list somehow, no wonder it got so quiet ... heheh. Wish I had something cheerful to impart, but instead I have sad news. One of the oldest members of The Little Rascals has left us ... Lily died early Saturday morning. She'd been sick for a couple of days and I was taking her to the vet Saturday, but I didn't get the chance. :( I don't think he could have done anything anyway, her little heart was pounding constantly the way Miss Piggy's was before her heart attack. I miss my Lily-girl ... :(:(:( She was two years and three months old. I am still dealing with Pookie's infected paw, took him Saturday to the vet again. It won't stay open to drain properly. He showed me how to pull the scar off and open it up *SHUDDER* I think I'm going to have to do that tonight *SHUDDER*. He also gave me some Baytril, since the Ornacycline doesn't seem to be helping, and calculated the proper dosage. I'm surprised at how easy it is to get into him, I just hold the syringe (needleless of course) to his mouth and he just can't resist biting it, which of course only helps me get it in his mouth! He doesn't seem to really mind that but he hates having his paw messed with ... I've been following the vet's advice and trying to put wet heat on it to hopefully keep it open, boy he hates that, nipped at me this morning. Can't blame him. It doesn't seem to be working anyway. Sigh. The vet didn't seem to think putting ointment or anything on it would help as he'd just lick it off. He's probably right. Any suggestions out there? Poor boy has been through so much ...
