Up till last February I lived at the College residence, and I used to get
teased quite a lot about my keeping gerbils ; some people would (jokingly)
threaten to let them all out at once in the corridor or something. I once
dreamed that someone had come into my room one night, opened all the gerbil
cages, and let them all run around the room. Then when I tried to get them
all back to their cages, there were many more than I originally had, loads
of completely unknown gerbils (and weird colours as well !), whom I
couldn't for the life of me remember where they were supposed to go - and I
was *so* scared of putting the wrong ones in the wrong cages with the wrong
mates in case fighting broke out ! Phew !
