I have seen a pup die of pneumonia because of some idiot at the post office
decided to load the truck the night before and it got sick. It started to
subside but eventually the pup couldn't fight it anymore and it's lungs
filled up with fluid. It sounds kind of like your pup. She had some bubbles
come out of her nose and thrashed around for a few seconds and laid still and
kicked her feet...then that was it. Very very sad!!! I tried everything, an
incubator, medicine, food, and water. So after the whole screwy post office
ordeal I vowed never ship or receive gerbils unless the weather is above 45
for a low. But anyway...was your gerbil subject to any drafts or such that
it could have gotten really really chilled?? Just a thought.
