Years ago I had two pair of nothing fancy three
black & white the fourth Agouti. They were such wonderful parents that
it was a joy to watch them! Not a single pup ever died. I think in
my ignorce I even used either cedar or pine bedding.
Now twelve years later I have just started raising
gerbils with one of my daughters. All of the e-mails and websites are
pretty unnerving. I had never even thought that a gerbil would attack one
of their own pups or thier mate.
Are these rare occurances? I hope so!
