I believe pink- and ruby-eyed gerbils have more trouble with their
vision than those with black eyes. I could be wrong of course, but I
bet that's what's causing the swaying behavior. I think if it was a
balance problem, she would consistently tilt to one side rather than
swaying back and forth.
