No, its not a problem to have a house, but like anninup said they like to
flip things over and it might crush a pup :(.  If I ever put a house in their
tank I use cardboard or a REALLY heavy house (so they can't push it over)
Another reason why you don't want to give them a house is that if its a house
that has just one hole for the gerbils to get in and out it might be a little
harder for you to look at the pups and hold them (when a little older).
