Well, we're out of the house tonight and off to spend 11 days at a friend's house. Then on June 11th, it's off the Anchorage for a week with my family, then off the Chitina for dipnetting for salmon, then finally off to Tucson, Arizona! We bought an asthetically-challenged trailer-camper for very cheap. Hopefully it can hold up on the highways. We plan to take the unpaved Cassiar Highway instead of the Alaskan Highway to cutdown on some mileage. The camper currently leaks and smells funny. The gerbils have been living in it for 3 days and now the gerbils all smell mildewy and stinky! On June 10th, all gerbils, rats and ferrets are off to the vet for health certificates for getting into and out of Canada. What a day that will be! I'll keep you all updated as this great adventure continues!
