Yes, I believe the litter was destroyed due to the stress
over being moved. I seen them and had an approximate
headcount before removing their entire aquarium to my
car. By the time the unload happened and I did the first
'servicing' of the cage (food, water, etc) a few hours later,
the litter was gone. From experience with hamsters, I
guessed that the litter was between one and two days old.
