Hello Everyone,

Amy G. reminded me that I haven't done an update in awhile.

All of my gerbils are doing great. I'm not sure how many I have today,,,
somewhere around 50. :o) including all the pups. Unfortunately I will be
separating another breeding pair. About two weeks ago I separated one pair,
it was Johnny (pied DEH) and Giggles (lilac). Next week I will be separating
Cecil (red fox) and Simba (sp. dove). I have way to many pups and the
adoptions around here have dropped drastically. It's probably cause it's
getting nice around here and people are doing more outside activities.

After I have the second pair separated, I will be left with three older
breeding pairs that are slowing down in producing pups. I will not be
getting rid of any of the gerbils I use for breeding. Fortunately I have
enough cages. I have at least 6 extra tanks for when I separate more
gerbils. :o)
Currently I have 11 tanks of gerbils all housed in 10 gallon tanks. 4 of
these tanks are pup tanks.

All my other critters are doing fine. I have a young pair of degus, a pair
of male spiny mice, two syrian hamsters that I do not breed. I have a mating
pair of dwarf hamsters that currently have three babies, and I also have a
pair of guinea pigs.

**My 5 year old niece Kasandra, who has cancer for those that don't know,
she is suppose to be having surgery in the next 2-4 weeks to have the tumor
removed. The doctors have successfully shrunk the tumor with chemotherapy.
This tumor was located next to her spine. When the tumor was larger, it
affected her ability to walk on her left leg. She is now starting to walk
again with the help of physical therapy and a walker. She has been battling
this second round of cancer since this past February. About a year and a
half ago, she had a cancerous tumor removed from her left kidney. All
thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated and needed.

Thank you,

Ann-Marie L. Roberts
