Pregnancy questions

1.) How long after a mother gerbil gives birth can she be pregnant again?
Isn't like 2 hours? Would she be pregnant for sure by the next day?

2.) I know the gestation period is between 24-27 days. Since her first litter
died would it be longer because I know gerbils with pups usually have a
longer gestation period?
