I had a litter of 6 pups. There are now only 4. The mother has died over
the weekend. These gerbils were in my scinence class room so we don't know
how long the mother has ben dead or how long the pups have gone without
food. Of coarse I'm in school and all we have right now is regular milk.
I'm going to feed them now and then take them home with me. Does anyone
know what could have caused this? When we found the mother her skin on her
stomache was eaten. I guess the pups ate it b/c they had no milk. I just
don't understand! the father is with the pups and always has been. Can
somebody help? I know I need to feed them 2 ml every 2 hours, right? I
know that kitten replacer milk is best, but all we have right now is milk
and I know that you shouldn't switch what you are feeding them once
something works. HELP!!!
