Just wanted to say Hi, I'm a new breeder with two pairs of Gerbils.
One pair is a Schimmel (Bleep)/Champaign(Patch) and the other is a
black(Raven) and a Pink eyed White (Blizzard). Have any of you had a
Black/PEWhite Pair and what color pups have you had? I looked them up on the
genetic calculator and get undefined colors, what exactly does that mean?
Also another thing, I have read that using the plastic cages are not the best
thing to use. Currently I have one pair in the SAM cages I have had since I
was younger and one pair in a 10 gallon aquarium. The pair in the aquarium
is scratching a whole lot while the pair in the SAM cages do not harley
scratch at the cage walls at all, does any one know why this may be? I am
getting habitrail lid for the aquarium with tubes and a closed in wheel,
hopefully that may help them some.
Oh yea, has anyone ever had a gerbil that runs in the wheel every time she
gets nervous? I purchased her from a pet store so she is very skittish still
and rund in her encklosed SAM whenever anyone comes near her cage.
