As long as there is no infection, you will be surprised how well they
adapt to lacking feet or legs. We have had several gerbils grow up like
this after unusual parental "accidents".

Be careful about ear problems. Gerbils use the long claws on their back
feet to clean the wax out of their ears.

Sunflower seeds are usually the favourite. Peanut butter can also be
popular.
