A good question. If the pup is young enough, it seems like it'll be OK if
they bond now. From what I have heard, it's females who fight for dominance
among gerbils.

What does everyone else think? Should I put a young male with him? I'm
concerned that when the pup gets older he may try to challenge the old fella
for dominance. I don't want Chip to get injured any more than what he
already is.
