I am happy (and somewhat surprised) to announce the addition of Maggie, a pied golden agouti, to our family. We went to the pet shop just to buy litter and my husband spotted her all by herself. She's gorgeous, big bright eyes, pretty patches, and a nice tuft to her tail (most of my others don't have much of a tuft). She's about 5 weeks old I'd say. My husband thought she was cute and the next thing I knew we were taking her home! I actually thought she might be a he (but wasn't sure), in which case I was going to put him with Prince. My husband wanted to name "him" Magnum. But once I got an up-close look I realized "he" was a she, therefore "Maggie". I'll try pairing her with one of my lone females. I have four of them, of various ages, hopefully one of them will work out. If not I'll buy her her very own 10 gallon tank and toys, and maybe when I get to start breeding again I'll try pairing her with a male. She's so precious, has climbed all over us already! I can't believe I got another one ... I'm hopeless! Well make that we instead of I as this was my husband's idea this time!
