Oh this is so true! I have a little spotted agouti about 2" long that I've been
feeding for about a week now. After the feeding gets started he lounges back in
my cupped hand and the lies there perfectly relaxed, continuing to lie on his
back as I wipe him up. Then he sits on his haunches in my palm and grooms his
little front hand-paws (and poops). He gets those sleepy gerbils eyes and
snuggles into my hand for a nap. I guess if I can't find a home, will just have
to keep him (oh well)

But... he and his two agouti brothers and I'd like to place them as a trio (or I
could set up any two as a pair). I have put together complete, quality tank
setups (using internet specials http://www.netxp.com/rick/gerbils/frameset.html
-- thanks Rick!) that I make available with the gerbils I place for $25. If
anyone needs more gerbil pups, let me know I am on the New
Hampshire/Massachusetts border. Will drive, but not ship. Donna A.
