Acquired two new males this evening, about eight weeks old. One looks to be a golden; light honey gold/blonde and red eyed. The other one is grey. In the store I thought he might be a darker version of Princess the Mystery Colored Gerbil; but he is very much grey compared to her. She is very brown compared to him. The store's small animal manager was the one who helped me, and she also gave me some fairly good guesses on some recessive genes she thought they did and did not carry, knowing the source they came from. I may also be kicking off the Rideshare bit over the weekend... and getting a few of my own dears to 'pose' for the site artwork. Plus I may be making a roadtrip in the near future to the next state over, (if I can convince the hubby) to collect some new stock. Yes, I have been bitten hard by the gerbil mania bug.
