Hello all!
I have a good question for you-I bought an entire family of what i thought
was a dove pair and some pups at the pet shop. The female had at least 3
generations of pups in the tank, all the same color as the parents.
Earlier in the week, one cream colored pup was observed that looked like it
came with the middleaged pups, but it was gone by the time i purchased what
was left.
The female was pregnant when i got her and has now had 3 more pups. Today
they are now 12-13 days old and are coming in a definite yellowish color, no
grey fur observed at all. They appear more yellow each day. My question
is really two parts, would the parents be lilac or dove? I have researched
and could see no way a dove parent could have these cream colored pups.
However, I know the red fox looks kind of light colored in photos, could
these be red fox pups or even yellow fox? I know you can get red fox from
Lilac....
One other question, IS this yellowish color normal for lilac or dove pups?
Will they grey out in a few more days? I realize i may be premature in
asking but they I just cannot figure out how these dove/lilac parents are
having these cream babies.
Thanx!!!
Wolfsis
