They will eat normal food at just over three weeks. Bird seed, ie
linseed and millet is loved by gerbils of all agers.

It is not unusual for some pups to be smaller but this normally sorts
itself out eventually as the small ones catch up in adulthood. Colour
does not normally have anything to do with it.
