You guys, um, just as I got home today I found my cage had been toppled over. I'm crying as I write this...there were 7 two week old baby gerbils along with their older sister and mother in that cage. <tear>. The stuffing was everywhere and....the mother and older sister were okay...but...not the babies. Six were in the cage...but one was missing. I searched the floor...and I found her....the female with the flexed wrist. And you guys..she was dead and on the floor. <tear,tear,tear> I just sat there with her in my hands and cried. Eventually I checked the cage to find one other pup with his nose and mouth...full of....blood. She was very cold and died in by hands as i cried over her. The four other pups seemed okay but one other's foot is bleeding and has a cut on her leg. :( I burried the two pups outside. I've never lost a gerbils before and I'm really sad right now....The reason the cage had been toppled?
