Adult females tend to be the trickiest intros. My understanding is, an
adult female gerbil is most likely to get along with a new gerbil close
to her size.

Groups of adult gerbils (>2) can't be introduced safely, as you may
already know. PAIRS usually can be. Best-case scenario: you may be able
to pair up these girls and end up with three pairs instead of six lone
gerbils. I'd suggest introducing one pair at a time, doing a split cage
setup. That way, if a particular intro didn't work out, you'd have more
options for different pairings.

For example, suppose you tried introducing G1 to G2 and they didn't get
along. You could then try getting G3 and G4 together. This would give
G1 and G2 a rest, giving them a chance to get lonely, so they might be
more receptive to a companion. Supposing G3 and G4 were getting along
fine, you could then try pairing G1 and G5. And so on.

I don't have personal experience with such a situation, but I've been
on this list long enough to be reasonably confident about my response.
I hope some more experienced folks will correct me if I'm off base.
