I am really not een expert, until a year ago I didn't even knew what a
gerbil was, but I also took a look at the mysterious animal.
I have a rodentbook with many pictures at home and I think it is indeed a
gerbil. The picture looks like a Gerbillus perpallidus.
The color, the eyes, the tapering and peaked face, it is all there. Could it
be that this animal is a bit smaller than a Mongolian Gerbil? According to
the book it must look like the Gerbillus pyramidum, the Egyptian Gerbil.
Is this possible?
