Kie passed away in his sleep early this morning :( But luckily, before he passed I put his little brother in with him so he'd have company. So now Hope & Hero, who haven't had pups to take care of for nearly 2 months, are going bonkers and lavishing little Hayze in attention :) I'm really so proud of them. They cleaned off Kierson's eye and made him very comfortable, and accepted both Kie and Hayze without any complaints. Now they're always grooming Hayze, and the minute I put toilet paper in there they took off with it into the nest and proceeded to thred it on top of little Hay :) Anyway, since I don't think Hope can produce milk at the moment, I've been feeding him cow's milk diluted with warm water until my mom gets home with the KMR. I take him out every few hours and put him in a little nursery type thing, a big plastic bin with a towel and bedding at the bottom. I've put a coaster in there filled with oats, bread crumbs, and cat food all sprinkled with the milk/water mix. He doesn't seem to eat that yet, as he's only just now getting his teeth, but I'm able to get a good amount of the mix into him even though he hates the taste :) Anyway, I'll keep everyone updated. He's definitely staying here with us, no survivor like him is going to pass us by. Paige
