Hi Deb, as a matter of fact she was!! How did you know?! Even though
Blossom didn't look pregnant this afternoon, she suddenly has three
teeny pups in a nest this evening and has kicked Bullet out for the
night. Although the pups are small, they are all squirming and nursing,
but are not squeaking.

As you recall, I put Bullet with Blossom nightly for 3 weeks straight,
but there was no mating -- apparently he was saving himself for
marriage. They were wed on August 13 so the litter came a respectable
29 days after that.

Does anyone on the list know why these pups would be so small (the
father is young at less than 4 months). Her last litter of two
(different father, though) were much bigger (even the pups in Cara's
litter of six seemed bigger than these).

Are teeny pups more at risk than large-sized ones? Thanks for any
insight here.

(I'm already getting into my nervous mother-hen mode). Donna A.
