Hi!
I decided to take my two 8 to 10 week old gerbils out
of their home for a small outing this evening, and
although one of them was a little stressed, the other
one had what seemed to be "mini-ceasures"....When I
placed him on the floor of our bathroom (the only
"scealed" room of our appartement), he looked around a
bit, then just suddenly stopped and he was opening and
closing his eyes (kind of like when I have headaches)
and shivering....Is this a sign that there might be
some underlining medical problem, or did I just choose
the wrong time to start out-of-cage outings?
By the way, as soon as I saw this, I nudged him in the
hamster-like ball I have and placed him in his
cage...He is now alright and lively; his "ceasure"
only lasted 15 seconds and he was running around
again.
