Hi,
a few weeks ago I wrote about 2 of my gerbils who needed
their teeth clipped.
One of their sisters needed the same treatment this week
and also wouldn't eat afterwards. After 2 days of syringe-
feeding Little Girl has decided to upgrade to soaked pellets
today :)
My question is: why could they have these tooth problems
(all were about 1 1/2 with no sign of trouble before).
They get hard foods, wood, cardboard and straw to nibble.
Is it common for this kind of thing to start later in life?
Could there be something missing in their diet?
Is it a genetic thing?
Any opinions or advice?
Thanks,
Susanne
