Your best bet is to remove the allergen (what's causing the allergy) and
the nose will heal on it's own. The nose is probably not bleeding- gerbil
mucous secretions are red in color, so it's the equivalent of a human
having a runny nose. Unless there is some indication that the nose itself
is infected, I'd let it heal by itself. It's most likely he's allergic to
something in the tank (bedding, hay, wood toys)- try removing these and
give it about 5-7 days and see if he improves. There's an outside chance it
could be an environmental allergen, in which case moving the enclosure may
