Prince and Princess, my mystery colored pair, were moved upstairs to the kitchen Sunday, as Princess was looking huge. They had lost their last litter... Princess wasn't so much bulgy as just massive. Yesterday between 2 and 5 pm MDT, they produced (?) five pups. All are looking very nice. There might be six, I am not able to get a good look. Today Prince has been re-breeding Princess, and she has been letting him. I put this in for those that are wondering when the next litter is sometimes concieved....I have also witnessed the breeding begin BEFORE she produces the pups, but this pair waited until after apparently. Lady and Bud; I didn't think she could get any larger. She had swelled up and developed back bulges she was so big. She's been uncomfortable since Sunday...and got much bigger than when she had her last litter of five (she was that size on Sunday). Sometime between midnight and 10 am today (6 oct) she produced pups. The other litter is sort of camping on them and helping keep them warm and clean, so I cannot get a count. There are five and I suspect a few to several more... I can't lure everyone off the nest for a moment, somebody always refuses to move their furry rear when I offer food. [*peanuts* guys. SHELLED sunseeds..c'mon already...] So. I also need to take care of the airship finalities; as these are all going to Florida in one massive ship in about a week. I am still trying to get ahold of Delta Dash to confirm and book the shipment (c'mon, that number is busy no matter when I try). At least all these pups should be old enough to make the trip, and the older set of Bud and Lady will be old enough to separate to make things easier. Ann Marie, please add to October Pup Count, I will send you revised numbers as I get them. Thanks. Deb Rebel's Rodent Ranch
