What you did for her so far is about the best you could do. Get her to a vet IMMEDIATELY, as this is beyond the care most gerbil keepers can provide. She may still have unborn miscarriage material, and also be hemorraging from placental detachment. > I would also like to know what is wrong with her. We have some guesses, >but that is it. Also, if she makes it through this, should I breed her >again? She is a Pink Eyed White (I think) and her mate is spotted. Does >this have anything to do with it? I would love to know what your opinions >are so if you have any, please tell me!! > >Thanks a lot, Sara I would give her at least six weeks of 'rest' before trying it again, and how old is she now. If she is under six months at that time you might try it again. She could be carrying spotted and that with her mate would cause the spsp gene to crop up which would cause what you seen...but usually at an earlier stage of the pregnancy. Anyone else with more experience with a possible sp gene problem? Deb Rebel's Rodent Ranch.
