This morning I woke up and noticed that one of my mother gerbils was missing!
Her 8 day old pups were growing weak and hungry. They hadn't had food for a
LONG time. My house is HUGE, and it takes quite awhile to find gerbils in
here. Infact, the mother I had before her got lost and I never found her :{.
The pups couldn't wait any longer to be fed, so I divide them up into 2
piles of 3, and gave them to my other pairs. I have one pair that has 6 (so
then I gave them 3 more), and my other pair had 6 already (so I gave them 3
also). If I find the mother tomorrow and I put her back into her cage, she
is just going to have to wait a month until her next litter.
The pups are nursing without a problem (even thought their new
brothers and sisters are bigger then them) I hope that they just don't get
too pushed around. I will keep some people updated if you want me to.
