Hi , I just wanted to give a quick update on my sick gerbil. The vet prescribed and antibiotic mixed with a steroid (Dexamethasone and Baytril mixed in punch for the taste). I have to give Thursty .2 cc by mouth twice a day. He hates being held to have this forced on him, but is doing pretty well all over. His head is tilted and he sometimes has a little problem with balance, but manages to eat and dig and do other gerbilly things just fine so far. Maybe his infection isn't as bad as it could be or maybe it's because we caught it really early.
