HI Everyone, Today one of my older breeding pairs produced one pup. The parents are Erebus and Method (for the pup count). I'm considering putting this one pup with a different mother (Powder) that has two pups that are two weeks old, they just opened their eyes yesterday. I'm concerned about this one pup not being able to stimulate the mother enough to produce milk even though the pup has a fully tummy right now. I can see the white milk in the tummy through the skin of the pup. I'm concerned because the past two or three litters from this pair have not done good. The mother destroyed most of the pups by the time they reached one week of age. I'm not sure if the pups died first, or if she killed them. Some of these pup were successfully placed with a different mother and survived. I don't think this pup has much of a chance if it stays with its mom (Erebus). Should I put this pup with the mother (Powder) that has the two week old pups? Powder lives with her mate (Salty) and a 3 month old female pup that she fostered from Erebus.
