Gerbils can be fed fruits and veggies in very limited quantities. I have
offered bits of apple, leaf lettuce (Not iceberg!), piece of carrot- I
don't do it more than once a week, as these things are not part of their
natural diet. If you overfeed fruits and veggies your gerbil could get
diarrhea.
