Just a quick update on the gerbil with the broken leg.
Firstly, thanks to everyone who wrote to me giving advice, it was very much
appreciated. I decided not to go to the vet, as the bone wasn't protruding
and she had calmed down considerably after an hour or so.
I made sure she was warm, comfy and had close access to food and water -
and she's making a really good recovery! She's almost back to her old self
(With a slight limp!) and she's digging and burrowing as if there's nothing
wrong! Amazing creatures, aren't they!!
