What wonderful ideas Gary has on his website! Many times I have read his ideas but until today, I never needed his help. A couple of weeks ago, Raven and Mike (or Ike) were separated due to attempts at killing each other. Mike (or Ike) got stuck in my only emergency tank; 5 1/2 gallons. Due to little to do, he chewed through his waterbottle. I haven't got any money until next week, so I remembered Gary's idea for the homemade water guard. I emptied out a can of beans and used a can opener to cut a triangular-shaped hole on the bottom of the can. It works perfectly! I used a hot glue gun to patch the tiny hole in the waterbottle and now Mike (or Ike) has got his water source. Next weekend we should have the money to get Mike (or Ike) a more suitable tank. Actually, I was thinking of getting a piece of plexiglass or something solid and splitting the 29 gallon aquarium in two for Mike (or Ike) and Raven to live side-by-side but unable to hurt each other.
