Some rat fanciers and myself have begun discussing doing a shipment of rats
from Europe (probably UK or holland) to the USA/midwest.
I dont know yet if it will be feasable to do multiple speices in one
shipment (seperate cages of course!), but if it is, I was thinking about
possibly importing soem blue gerbils into the USA since we don't have them
here yet. I'll have a lot of other critters traveling and they will sharing
space with other fanciers critters too as we are combining shipping into one
account to save costs, so I will probably only be able to get a pair of
gerbils, ideally fairly unrelated male and female blue gerbil one or two
pairs.
Would any fanciers on this list who have Blue gerbils be agreeable to
sending soem blue gerbils to the USA?
Would any American fanciers be interested in chipping in for part of
shipping costs in order to obtain blue gerbils of their own immediately (or
other gerbil lines or rat lines.... etc.)?
This shippment is still all very "in the planning stages", no date has been
set yet, prolly be in spring or fall of 2001.
There also might be a USA shipment of animals to someplace in Europe, but I
dont think there are any interesting gerbils here that don't exist there
already, is there.
