It is quite uncommon. Certainly it is worth keeping him. If he is very
young you may find that the bib etc become more noticeable with age
though.

Exactly. Crossing with well spotted animals seems to increase the size
of these minor markings. I doubt breeding to Siamese/Burmese will do any
harm, but to ensure you are selecting away from the bib you need good
dark colours for maximum contrast. Hopefully breeding to Siamese/Burmese
will produce lots of blacks.
