Hi, gang. A friend of mine must have doubted my tale of how the KAK virus
made its rounds around the GML, and seemed to walk right in the front door
of those of us with McAfee anti-virus software (even though it was newly
up-dated), while those of us with Norton were warned immediately of its
presence in a post, so he asked his systems administrator at work if McAfee
was effective. The administrator said, "Well, it caught the KAK virus in
11/99." To which I replied (to myself), "Well, whoopty-do!"
I'd like to get some data from you guys as to your experiences with KAK and
other viruses, and how effective you found your McAfee vs. your Norton to
be, just for my own private curiosity.
