Sounds like you have a probable pregnancy on your hands.  You can
usually tell if your gerbil is pregnant by visual examination.. especially if
the litter is large or the pups are larger than normal, tiny little bulges in
the stomach are actually very noticable.  Not all females will look fat, it
really depends on the gerbil and her litter.. I've had mothers who had up to
five pups without looking any larger around the belt than they usually do.
(hehe. -.o).

A new new nest is a common sign of an upcoming birth.  I'm only going by
personal experience, tho.. I don't know if this written down in book
anywhere, heh.

Good luck with the hopefully new arrival.

<< Hi all,

I was wondering how you can tell when a female is pregnant. My bluefox
female (Andromeda) looks much bigger than normal when she is not standing up.
However like i said thisis only when she isnot standing, when she isshe
looks prity normal. Do all females look fat when they are going to have pups?
Also they made a totaly new nest today in a total different part of the cage.
In the past they have always stuck to one side of the tank. thanks for any
help? Maybe it is just wishfull thinking. :)
