Congrats.

>Question: Is it ok for gerbils to eat those parakeet fruit and honey
sticks?

I consider those sticky messes just that, overpriced sticky messes
you end up cleaning up and throwing out.

Give it to the parakeet.

I have yet to see a hamster or gerbil really eat any of one of those
things.

I treat my gerbils with small apple and carrot chunks...and the
hamsters with milkbone dog biscuits. The latter will chew on
the dog biscuits and it keeps their teeth trimmed. Gerbils don't
seem to like them, they like plain old wood to gnaw on.

[Others may have other opinions, but that has been my experience
and I'm not afraid to state it.]
