Sometimes, gerbils are given long fancy names because they are
registered. The long name usually includes the clan they come from.
My gerbils were registered with The Gerbil Club of Missouri. My lilac
pied gerbil is named "G's Nimbus the rain cloud".
(GCM is no longer in existence)I refer to him as Nimbus for short.
