Thanks for the replies.
I was wondering about that. I currently use carefresh (along with
providing plenty of papertowel rolls, tp rolls, cereal boxes, etc for them to
chew for more)
I was reading another poster
who mentioned hay and straw for his gerbs.
Are there any "safe"
alternatives to carefresh out there? I have used corncob and they seem
fine but until they chew up considerable amounts of cardboard items they have
nothing to nest in.
Perhaps saving some of the
original nesting material and building them a new nest in their newly cleaned
home until they chew up more for themselves?
Thanks.
