Gerbil milk will be very much more concentrated than mouse milk which
may cause dehydration of the pups.
As for the mice in the pet shop, a mother can nurse well over a dozen
pinkies each. Litters of eighteen or more can be raised, especially by
white mice. These have been selected in labs for prolific breeding for
over a hundred years.
